Dinner for Schmucks

Ayame Uchiha led the way back to her home with Yuto in tow. The boy had finally relented in the elderly woman's insistance that he and Seebata join her for dinner, and slightly to his distaste, Ray and Akio would be joining them as well.

Yuto was still torn between wanting to become friends with the shinobi of Konoha, looking back to their refusal to stop the blatent slavery that existed within the Hyuga clan, but those that he came to know within the village had accepted him without haste save for Ray.

"This is Ray's bedroom, Yuto." Ayame said. She guided him into the rather spacious room. "Make yourself at home while I get dinner started. I'll have the boys get the spare tstami mats from the closet when they get back home."

Yuto walked past Ayame futher into the room, looking from side to side. It wasn't hard to tell thst Ray was a rather unorganized individual. He had clothes scatted all over the floor and collectables were all thrown about. He was about to sit on the bed but decided against the idea.

"Thank you very much for your hospitality, Miss Uchiha." Yuto said with a bow after turning back to the woman. "I promise not to burden you for too long."

"Nonsense, child" She replied. "You stay as long as you need to." Ayame would slowly turn around and head back out to the kitchen, leading Yuto alone with the intense amount of thoughts that coursed through his mind.

Sebaata followed closely behind Yuto and Ayame. Luckily for Sebaata, Ayame's age makes her walk a bit more slowly than someone of his age. Sand's be damned... It hurts to even walk even at this slow pace... do not show your weakness... you are a ninja of the sand... After leaving Yuto to his new room, Sebaata followed closely behind Ayame as she made her way to the kitchen. "Your home is very nice... quite... um... 'homey'" You sound like an idiot... are you incapable of speaking to people in a natural way?... He patiently waited for the reply to his awkwardly phrased question as they entered the kitchen.

Yuto stood in the bedroom alone seeing as Sebatta went to join Ayame in the kitchen. The more he thought about the thingd that led him to thia point, the more confused and depressed he felt himself becoming. If only he had been back in Hoshigskure. Maybehe would have been able to help, or perhaps he would be dead like the rest of his family and friends.

Taking a deep breath, the boy collected ohimself to a point where he cpould at the very least function. He needed to do something, qnything, to keep his mind occupied. This would culminate in the young Hyuga picking up some of the clothes that lay upon the floor at his feet. He moved them to a corner of the room, then proceeded to move all of the dirty clothes in to the same pile. Next he moved onto the toys and collectibles. He placed them into another pile, and the things that looked intricate and delicate he sat carefully on top of the dresser.

Before long the once messy bedroom thst was Rqy'a qa completely clean, opther than needing a good vaccuming. He would focus on that after dinner. Now feeling more comfortable in the space, hoqever, he finally made the gesture of sitting on the bed with a sigh.

Mayumi approaches the house with Tsushi, carefully following the instructions that was given to them. She closes her eyes and mentally prepares herself. "Shall we?" She asks turning towards Tsushi.

Yuto sat for a few minutes on the bed before noticing how ride he was being by not offering to help Ayame and Sebatta. Tge elder was nice enough to bring them into her home, so the least the Hyuga boy could do was go offer up some assistance in the dinner preparations.

He walked out of the room and followed the deliscious smell of food 8nto the kitchen. Everyone else had already arrived home, with Ray and Akio helping themselves to some soda while Ayame and Sebatta slaved away at making the food.

"Thank you, deary," The woman said to Sebatta regarding the complement he made about her home. "Things werent always like this though. Back in the Warring States Era, and even during the first two Shinobi World Wars, people were very lucky to have a homestead such as this. Oh, dont forget to chop up this rosemary, dear. Chop it nice and fine and mix it in with tgecrest of the 8ngredients here." Ayame handed Sebatta a bowl, at which point she noticed Yuto coming in from the hallway. Her face lit up even brighter than it had before. "Did you get all settled in, Yuto?"

"Yes, Ma'am." Yuto replied. He made sure to bow to the elderly woman. "Is there qnything I can do to be of assistance? I feel like a burden when I'm not being of use."

"Nobsense, deary," Ayame walked over to Yuto and pinched his cheek, mqking Yuto grimace and blush. "You make yourself at home and relax for jow. Dinner will be ready shortly." Ayane walked back over to Sebatta. "Now show me how they cook back in the Wind Country." Meanwhile Yuto walked over to grab himself a gkass of water, finding himself standing next to Ray and Akio.

"Yo." Yuto said sinply with a nod.
