HISTORY OF THE CLAN:

In the early days of the Hidden Leaf Village, a boy was born without sight into one of the most prodigious clans. The Hyuga. Tamaki Hyuga was abandoned by his father moments after birth and left alone with his mother. They were ridiculed and made a mockery of in the village until one day the head of the Hyuga exiled them from the clan. They traveled miles by land and then by sea until they arrived in the Village Hidden in the Mist. Poor and with no home or family there they were taken in by a small clan in the mountains of the island. His mother was a genius and was able to find work as an accountant for the lord of the clan. As for Tamaki, he found himself happiest on a high cliff under a single tree.

After some time past the seemingly impossible happened. His dormant power awakened and his Byakugan activated. Still blind when using it and with very little control of the ability he would stare into the distance hoping for something to come through. Looking upward in defeat he noticed something spectacular. When looking to the sun, he could see around himself.

Being able to see for the fist time in his life he was ecstatic and continued to come to that hill every day so he could watch the world around him. He trained the ability to see further and furthur until he could see far beyond the distance that any Byakugan could ever hope to gaze. As the eyes absorbed more and more sunlight they underwent a noticeable transformation. His eyes began to turn a ghostly blue and shine ever so slightly when the Byakugan was active.

While gazing off he noticed a young woman, about his age, trapped under rocks that had slipped away during a heavy rainstorm. He went to her, saving her from what would be an unavoidable demise. They spent a lot of time together after that, talking while he would use his eyes to look into hers. They would save people otherwise lost to sea, or trapped somewhere no one would ever find them. They say his eyes were so powerful he could gaze into other nations from atop that mountain.

Then, they had a son. The boy was born with light blue eyes that reflect the eyes of his father. He knew he couldn't give him the accursed namesake of his own and named the boy, Tamaki Hikaru. The boy could see perfectly, and wanted to become an ninja in the land of Mist. He trained day and night but he never awakened the Byakugan. Still so, he became an excellent shinobi.

As time passed Tamaki was growing steadily older, sicker and passed away. While in his elderly stages of life his son Tamaki was by his side until the very end. While still holding his father taking in all the memories and lessons tears began flowing from his eyes. Then suddenly his eyes began to glow and his iris shimmered like a kaleidoscope. The Shogan had awoken.

Tamaki used his new found visual prowess and began to complete the steps to establish himself as a very powerful shinobi. He trained so hard that he was able to make his very own jutsu, never before seen. He could travel faster than a blink, bend light to make you think you saw something that was never even there, and take power from the sun to strengthen and heal himself.

As present day approaches The Hidden Mist Village remember and thank Tamaki for the fierce warriors and generations of tracking ninjas through his visual prowess of the Shogan. During the Mist Revolution they proved to be powerful allies in bringing down the evils of the Bloody Mist. Though most were lost during this time. A few still remain on top of that mountain, living around the memorial at the top of the mountain.


NOTABLE MEMBERS:

Tamaki Hyuga: The first of the clan and an outcast of the Hyuga. He was blind but could see farther than any when looking at the sun. The progenitor of the clan's visual prowess.

Tamaki Hikaru: First to awaken this new power, he set the bar for the strength of the Hikaru clan. Able to use the clan's power to become a powerful asset to the Mist.

Tsu Hikaru: Akio's mother. She is believed to have perished during the Mist Revolution. She was a jutsu scientist who believed there was another dormant power to be discovered within the Shogan. The powers were especially strong with her and it is said that she could grasp the future in her sight.


ACTIVE MEMBERS:

Tamaki Hikaru: Current head of the clan. Known for his excellent illusions that would make you believe you were captured in a genjutsu. He had 6 children, all but one perished in the war. He is a shell of his former self.

Niko Hikaru: Daughter of Tamaki, and current heir. She uses the light step better than any of the clan. Able to travel great distances and carry momentum through to land devastating blows. She used her ability to escape certain death during the wars. Something she can never forgive herself for and spends all day lost in a bottle.


HAIR: All born members of the clan have dark blue hair.

EYES: All members have light blue eyes.

CHAKRA TYPES: Water, Wind, Fire



Shogan(Shining Eye): Can see all spectrums of light, telescopic and microscopic vision and when active increases the speed of thought allowing for lightning fast predictions. Some notable jutsu include the afterimage and illusions(ZanZou), teleporting with momentum(Karui Steppu), and Solar absorption to increase their strength and healing speed(Taiyohikarihatsuden).
