The Land of Sound

Formerly known as the "Land of Rice Paddies", the country's name was changed after the First Shinobi World War when a powerful shinobi conquered the nation and began to use it as a base of operations for illegal experimentations. Per its previous namesake, the country is known as one of the Shinobi World's major exporters of rice.

The Land of Wind

The Land of Wind is located southwest of the Land of Fire. It borders the Land of Rain and Land of Grass, alongside many other countries, but the country itself is significantly composed of deserts and thus has little to no productivity. The village of Sunagakure no Sato resided here before its downfall during the Third Shinobi World War.

The Land of Earth

The Land of Earth is located north-west of the Land of Fire. The country is governed by the Earth Daimyō and is mostly comprised of desolate, rocky areas. The border of the Land of Earth runs along a rocky mountain range, blocking communication with other countries, and as the wind blowing from the north passes over these mountains it carries small rocks from the Land of Earth to the surrounding countries. This phenomenon is known by the locals as "Rock Rain".

The Land of Grass

The Land of Grass is a small border country separating the Land of Earth and Land of Fire from each other. It has been the scene of many heinous battles between the two countries in previous wars, the most notable of which being the Third Shinobi World War. Two places of interest, the Kanabi Bridge and the Tenchi Bridge, were destroyed on two separate occasions roughly fifteen years apart.

The Land of Rain

The Land of Rain is a small border country that sits between three of the former Five Great Nations, those being the Land of Fire, the Land of Wind, and the Land of Earth. It has been the site of many destructive battles during the Second and Third Shinobi World Wars, with the country itself almost be completely destroyed like its hidden village of Amegakure. Per its namesake, it is almost constantly raining here, and a clear and sunny day is a very rare occurrence.

The Land of Whirlpools

A small island nation roughly twenty-five miles from the coast of the Land of Fire, the Land of Whirlpools has been abandoned for nearly thirty years following the end of the Second Shinobi World War. The country was the former home of the famed Uzumaki Clan and the village of Uzushiogakure; the ruins of which still dot the small island.
