The Infirmary

Sebaata mind trails and eventually cuts off Akio's rambling. Of course... His ability to steal people's ocular jutsu must not be permanent... "So... You can only use someone's stolen eyes for so long... Am I correct in my assessment?... "Sebaata's head slowly turns to Ray, slightly cocked to the right.

Yuto sighed when Ray brought up the fact that he had contracted cancer.

"I guess you would know about that with that stolen Byakugan of yours." Turning his head to look at Ray, however, Yuto could see the bandages upon his rival's face. It was almost entirely covered in bloodied bandages that were ready to be disposed of, but Yuto chuckled lightly. "You should wear those bandages more often; they hide your ugly mug quite well." Yuto smirked at Ray and began standing up out of the bed. He stumbled thanks to his motor skills still finding themselves from the coma he had been in, but he managed after a few moments. It would be then that he noticed he was in no pain as opposed to what he had experienced previously.

Another voice called out from inside the room, and Ray would reveal it to be that of Sebaata. The one named Akio would awaken as well. Yuto had previously been indifferent towards the two of them, having decided it was best to focus on Ray due to what the Hyuuga boy had viewed as severe rudeness, but he felt... more connected to these Konoha ninja than what he had previously.

As Sebaata and Ray discussed the matter of food, a nurse had entered into the room and changed Ray's bandages. The nurse would make a moment of eye contact with Yuto but would almost immediately look away. Sadness overcame her previously happy demeanor. Perhaps it had been the fact that someone as young as Yuto had cancer, and Yuto had no reason to believe it to be anything else.

Looking at the food that had been placed at his bedside, Yuto grimaced at how poorly it all looked. Wanting to right the wrongs of how he had treated the ones around him previously, he would pick up the tray.

"You lot can have this. I'm not hungry just yet."

Uchiha, Kaito and his grandmother Hitoha made their way to Ray and Akio's room in the hospital. The place was bustling with nurses and doctors all scrambling around frantically. Many deceased bodies laid upon gurneys, most burnt to a crisp. Hitoha knew not of what had happened, of course, but Kaito knew that these were the former villages of Hoshigakure.

The bodies of the villagers had been transported to Konohagakure for study after Konoha had received a message detailing the assault on the now destroyed village. Members of Anbu Black Ops had been able to ascertain that who had orchestrated the assault as well; Megumi, Aizen; also known by the moniker of "The White Tiger of Kusagakure". Kaito shuddered when Aizen's name was brought up in conversation with the Fourth Hokage. He had previously encountered the man during the Third Shinobi World War, and had it not been for Kaito's Mangekyou Sharingan, the Uchiha boy would surely have died in their encounter.

'First Madara, now Megumi... What next?' Kaito clenched his fists at his sides at the very thoughts.

"Where is the boy's room, Kaito?" Hitoha asked, tugging on Kaito's flak jacket. "Where are my precious boys?"

Hitoha's voice had been what brought Kaito back to regular consciousness. He blinked rapidly, shaking the memories he had been shifting through in his mind away before looking at the numbered placards on each of the doors that surrounded them.

"Right up here, Gram Gram." He replied.

Kaito and Hitoha fought their way though the crowded hallway before knocking on the door to Ray and Akio's room. After a quick moment they would enter, and Hitoha would burst out in tears of joy.

"Oh, Ray! Akio! I'm so happy you two are alright!" Hitoha would run up to the two boys and embrace them. Kaito smiled, glad to see that his little cousin and adoptive relative were both okay, but then he saw Yuto holding up a tray of food towards the rest of the boys in the room. Kaito frowned, knowing the other reason he had to come to the hospital.

Sighing, Kaito closed the door and cleared his throat to garner the attention of everyone in the room. Yuto and Hitoha would both look over to Kaito, who was somber.

"I'm not sure if you all have heard, and honestly I'd be surprised if you haven't by now." He looked over to Yuto. "The village of Hoshigakure has been destroyed. There were... no survivors, other than one..." A tear slipped down the length of Kaito's cheek. "I'm sorry, Yuto. You are that sole survivor..."

Yuto, who had been holding the tray of food up towards his roommates, dropped the tray upon the ground. The mush the hospital staff called food splashed everywhere, and Yuto began to hyperventilate as he began to stumble. Hitoha would walk over to the boy to assist him, but found that she was perhaps a bit too weak.

"Ray! Akio! Help me sit him down!" She demanded in her elderly voice.

"Well... I guess they don't need my help... " Sebaata watches this all unfold.
