Kaito paused as the man barred the window with his body. It sure was an odd way to introduce oneself, and the man had little to no sense in regard to timing, but the young Uchiha needed a reason to excuse himself from this awkward situation.
"I'll escort you." He said without skipping a beat. He made his way through the chaos, placing a delicate hand upon Yūto's shoulder. "I'm sorry for your loss, kid. Lord Fourth has advised me to tell you that you are welcome to stsy in the village as long as you need. If you decide to stsy for good there is expat paperwork ready at his office awaiting your signature."
Kaito would immediately hop out from the window to join the mysterious man outside.
"Follow me." He said, turning on his heel and walking towards the Hokage's Office at a rather leisurely pace.

Hitoha didn't bother to show her annoyance with Kaito as her grandson took his exit from the hospital.
"You watch boys, I'm gonna give him a good talking to the next time I see him." She continued tending to the heartbroken boy who sat next to her, holding his head in her chest as he wept. "Poor thing. So young too…" Hitoha sat another moment before getting to her feet. "You three comfort your friend while I go speak with the nurse."
The elderly woman shuffled out of the room and into the hallway where she found two nurses standing idlely by.
"Pardon me, ladies." She said. The two ladies looked down to her with questioning eyes. "The Hoshigakure boy, when was he to be discharged?"
One of the nurses shuffled through the paperwork on her clipboard.
"He was recently diagnosed with cancer. There's not much we can do about it now, so once he is in stable condition we're going to release him."
Hitoha shook her head.
"That poor boy lost his entire family and village. He is all alone in this world now. Being cooped up here will not do him any good. How quickly can you make sure he is stable? He is awake now."
"We're really busy at the moment, Ma'am. I don't think we will be able to sqee-"
Hitoha shook her head again in apprehension before activating her three-tomoe Sharingan and looking both of the nurses in the eyes. She had always been somewhat decent at Genjutsu, and if these nurses weren't shinobi, she would have no trouble getting them to do as she said. With that, she would place them under a hypnotizing jutsu.
"You will see to it that this boy is seen within the next hour. If he is stable enough then I demand that you release him into my custody, you understand?" Both of the nurses nodded in reply, seemingly not noticing their lack of self control. Hitoha deactivated her Sharingan and smiled. "I'm glad you two see things my way. I'll make sure to bring him back in for his checkups and that he is well fed." She turned on her cane and began walking back towards the boy's room, thinking what would be the best meal for that evening's dinner. Should things go her way, she would have two extra mouths to feed, at least for that night; Yuto and Sebaata.

"Who the hell was that? Random people jumping in windows." Ray scoffed as he helpped Yuuto. "Youll never beat me if you cant even beat cancer."
Ray paused. "That sounded better in my head."

Right as Ray would make his comment regarding Yuto's cancer, Hitoha would meander back into the hospital room. She could see Yuto crying ever so harder now, and the elder woman hobbled over to Ray with her cane extended up towards the heavens.
"Ray Kamaura!" She exclaimed as she brought her cane down hard upon Ray's shin. "You apologize to that boy this instant!" To prove her point, she would continue hitting Ray until he apologized. As this happened, she would look over towards Akio and Sebaata. "I've raised him better than this. Ah... Please forgive me, child." She pointed to Sebaata with her free hand. "I have not gotten to know your name yet, but how would you feel about joining us all for dinner tonight?"
Hitoha would await Sebaata's response, but whether he accepted the offer or not mattered not as she would not take no for an answer.
Once the boy hailing from Sunagakure would respond, Hitoha would stand the still crying Yuto up from the bed and walk him into the hallway, shutting the door behind them. She would allow the boy a moment before clearing her throat to draw his attention.
"I am terribly sorry about the circumstances of whats going on, Yuto." She said, holding his hand delicately. "I grew up in the Warring States Era, so I know all too well what this type of loss feels like." Yuto would nod in response. "What do you plan to do once you're released from the hospital?"
Yuto contemplated for a moment.
"The exams don't mean anything to me anymore. My village is no more. I'm dying..." Yuto contemplated even more. "Maybe I'll become a wandering mercenary for however long I have left, who knows." Hitoha shook her head and tsked. "What, granny? Don't think I can handle it?" The Hyuuga clenched his fist at his side.
"Its not that, child." She replied. "This world, even though we are supossed to be at peace, is far too unforgiving and brutal. If I were to allow you to wander the world by yourself, I don't know if I could live with myself."
"What are you implying then?" Yuto demanded.
"I would like for you to stay with Ray, Akio and I here in Konohagakure. I have more than enough room." The elderly woman clasped the young Hyuuga's hands in her own tightly. "If you were to die out there than everything you have lived for until now will die with you, young man. Even if you don't stay here forever, at least stay for a couple of days until you are feeling better." Yuto's scowl turned to a somber frown as he looked down to Hitoha. The boy felt as though he was having a conversation with his own grandmother, and he could hardly tell her no.
"Fine." He said, releasing his hands from Hitoha's vice grip. "Just for a couple of days."
"Good." Hitoha said. "Now come on." Hitoha led Yuto back into the room where Ray, Akio, and Sebaata were still meandering around. "Yuto here will be staying with us for a few days. Ray, you destroyed the extra tatami mats last summer while training, so he will be bunking with you in the meantime."

Ray recovered from his beating in time to hear Granny offer Yuuto a place to stay. "He can stay but he cant stay in my room! He can stay with Akio." Ray bowed to his Grandmother. Then left the room in a hurry.
He was on a mission now, to find Tsushi.

The guard takes the ramen from Sebaata and eyes it cautiously. He takes a bite and ruminates for a minute. "Finally.
Some good fucking food." Reluctantly, he hands the bowl over to Asami while taking a more professional stance, slight bow included. "Enjoy, my Lady."
"Thank you." she says to the guard and then to Sebaata. In seconds, she's eaten the whole thing. "It was good, but not anywhere near enough. I would like it if you could make more."
Getting up from the ground he found himself on, the tall man took his place back at the far side of Asami's hospital bed. "Well.
Is this that Monotomo kid that wants to court you? Seems a little... I don't know how to say this, but he's not what I was expecting from this area." He eyes Sebaata up warily.
"No, Uncle. This is Sebaata. He is my best friend. Yuki was the other boy that ran off." She says, pointing to where the two went for emphasis. "And Sebaata, this is my honored uncle and sensei. He taught me how to handle a sword."
"Moritsuna Watanabe. Ronin of the Land of Iron. I know your name but... who exactly are you? Speak and know I will have my men verify any and all of your claims."

”Granny said you have to keep him in your room.” Akio sprints out the door with Ray.
”Where are you off too? Are you going to see Tsushi, cause if you are I need to see her too.”

Koji gives a casual salute to the shinobi in the room and hops down out of the window behind Kaito, ”So what's your name? I’m Fujisaki Koji! ” A big introductory grin widens across his face as he walks in step behind.

-Past Self-
Sebaata slowly stood up from his wheelchair. He turned to Asami's uncle and slowly bowed forward as much as his body would allow. "Sir... It is a pleasure to meet you... I am Sebaata of the Bloody Sand... As you correctly mentioned... The Leaf Village is not where I originally hail from..." He slowly came up from his bow. "I am from the Village Hidden in the Sand... And I hope to one day rebuild the home we have lost and bring it to a period of great prosperity and advancement... " He turns to Asami. "I am sorry that it was not enough ramen to satisfy your hunger... If you would allow me... I would love to cook some food for you... Your uncle... And his men... My cooking may have attracted more people than I had originally anticipated so i apologize I couldn't bring more... " Sebaata eagerly awaits her reply.
-Present Self-
Sebaata got lost in his thoughts. A lot had happened. What are you doing?... A fellow ninja has just lost his entire village and your here being... Petty?... Sour?... Get over yourself... Being in the hospital is only temporary... Sands help me... Sebaata got up from bed and walked up to the Grieving ninja. He embraced him in a tight hug. "Let out your emotions... From one ninja to another... I am here to help you shoulder your burden... I cannot begin to know the pain you are feeling right now... But the Sands are here for you... Say the word... " After his moment, he turned to the older woman who offered him dinner. "You are too kind... I would love to join you all for dinner... If I may make a strange request... Would I be able to assist you while you cook... I would love to learn your techniques and gain cullinary prowess... " Sebaata bows to her and awaits her response.

"Then we will make a day of it!" She jumps a bit with excitement before cringing from her wounds. "Aaafter I have won the exams. It can be a celebration."
"Asami, you've already accepted a prospect from the Monotomo boy." Her uncle says.
"What would that have to do with Sebaata?"
Rubbing the bridge of his nose in frustration he grunts and says "Nevermind, you'll figure it out eventually."
"Alright, alright. That's enough for today. The girl wore herself out more than you, Sebaata, and after what this lunatic did she'll probably need some treatment for internal bleeding again so let's let her get some rest in." Akaru says.
"You two heard the asshole. We'll talk later, Sebaata. Here." Moritsuna pulls a piece of paper from a satchel on his side and hands it over. "This is where we're staying. We'll have you over three days after this exam has ended to get you acquainted with the family. Please be prompt, I'm trusting in her judgement of you. Don't let me down."
"I would like to hear you cheer me on in my next match. Thank you again for coming Sebaata, but I am feeling quite tired."
"Not so fast, Lady. You might not be good for swords-practice but I won't have you shirking on your painting. We'll have you work double time on it! Maybe it'll help you make some actual progress past stick figures.
"But Uuuuncle!" Her complaints fade into the background as Akaru pushes Sebaata from the room.
